The TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is Australia’s leading training qualification, suited to workplace training roles across many industries.   • Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or Australian equivalent.
  • You must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in your proposed teaching and assessing area. *Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience and may include holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
  • You must have computer with internet access and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint installed.
  • You must provide a valid ID with your picture and signature

Virtual Class

  • 2 days per fortnightly livestream classes and/or webinars plus live consultation sessions every month for 6 months (including 1 month term break)
  • Resources are hosted on the student portal and can be accessed 24/7

Two-day classes plus one day consultation per fortnightly for 5 months. You will attend a total of twenty days in class and 5 days consultation.

The majority of assessment activities will need to be fulfilled outside the class and consultation days. The self-study hours may vary from learner to learner for approximately 16 hours per each unit of competency.

You can start your TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment training any time throughout the year. You will have 12 months to complete the course from your enrolment date through mixed mode online learning.

The TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is expected to take around 1201 hours of study, especially for the beginner cohort to complete. This is equal to approximately 23 hours study per week over 12 months, however you may work at your own pace and complete your course faster if you’d like!

Completing all the units of competency within this qualification will lead to the issuance of a TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, including a transcript of all completed units. Learners that successfully complete individual units of competency, but not the whole qualification, will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment detailing the completed units.
